DATA & MONITORING
The pipeline behind our reporting, working for you.
Every day we ingest, clean, score and monitor U.S. insider-trading disclosures (SEC Form 4) and Senate periodic transaction reports with a fully automated pipeline — the same one behind our published research, including a preregistered backtest across 750,659 insider purchases (2006–2026). That infrastructure is available as a service.
What the cleaning layer does
- Deduplication and amendment resolution — superseded filings dropped, latest kept.
- Impossible-value quarantine — the $23B "insider buy" that is really a price-field typo never reaches you.
- Placement-pattern exclusion — ≥3 filers at one identical price is a program, not conviction; naive cluster screens miss this.
- Price-sanity checks against market close on every delivered record.
- Nothing is removed silently: every filter decision ships in the report.
Is it complete?
We don't claim it — we reconcile it. Every morning each Form 4 / 4-A accession in EDGAR's own daily index is checked against our processing ledger, per filing, and the difference is published: coverage & reconciliation, updated daily.
Services
1 · Morning Feed
A curated pre-market brief of anomalies in the latest filings — real clusters, serial buyers, big discretionary trades — delivered by email and JSON before the U.S. open. Your filters: tickers, sectors, size, insider roles.
2 · Watchlist Alerts
Your tickers or filers, monitored on every pipeline run. New filing → flash to your inbox or webhook the same day, cleaned and scored. Built on the alerting layer we run for our own coverage.
3 · Custom Feeds & Datasets
Historical + daily delivery (CSV / JSON / lightweight API) filtered to your spec. Two decades of cleaned Form 4 history available. Judge the cleaning layer yourself: free sample — the last 14 days of open-market purchases, cleaned (CSV). This slice (Aug 6–20, 2026): 987 raw rows in, 861 out — one amendment conflict resolved, a "$23.6B purchase" price-typo quarantined, 18 rows without a ticker dropped, and 14 companies excluded where 3+ filers printed at one identical price (one had 30). Every row carries its SEC accession ID, so any line can be verified on EDGAR; the underlying store is reconciled daily against EDGAR's index.
4 · Hard-Target Data Acquisition
Sources with no API, hostile rate limits or anti-bot walls. Our Senate feed runs through exactly such a wall daily. Any sector. We review each target's terms of use before taking a project.
How it works
- Email what you need: [email protected]
- We scope it in writing — plain email, no calls needed (async-first studio).
- Feeds start with a 2-week free trial. Month-to-month after; cancel anytime.
FTF Data is a data provider, not an investment advisor. Our feeds describe public filings; nothing we deliver is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Disclosed congressional amounts are ranges and are reported as ranges. Delivery is best-effort daily with transparent notice on source-portal outages and full backfill after restoration.
